Brome Consulting is an information technology management and consulting firm.
Since its creation in 2009, we have done a multitude of mandates for national and international companies such as, Telus Health, Resolute Forest Products, Yellow Pages Group, Ivanhoe Cambridge, etc. Our expertise mainly lies in the conducting of industry 4.0 audits (numeric audits), however, we also have significant consulting experience such as, IT plan director, IT strategies, ERP selection, CRM selection, not counting our experience in IT diagnostics and IT project management
Currently based in the Brome-Missisquoi region, Brome Consulting offers its services to SMEs in its region (Brome-Missisquoi, Haute-Yamaska & Eastern Townships) as well as in Greater Montréal and Montérégie as a “nearshoring” (local) provider. The availability of cutting-edge telecommunications tools, combined with our proven methodology for planning and managing projects, enables us to successfully execute the most demanding mandates.
Biography
Simon has been working in the information technology field since 1995. He spent the early years of his career in IT consulting, where he developed his expertise in managing tailored development, integration, and software installation projects.
After some time at a medical software development company, he joined the ranks of a multinational manufacturer based in Montreal, where he was able to develop his expertise in supply chain project management.
Since 2007, he has been working as an independent consultant on managing IT projects. He has carried out projects at manufacturing companies in the basic materials sector (Bowater, Resolute Forest Products), publishing sector (Yellow Pages Group), medical IT sector (Telus Health), and real estate management (Ivanhoe Cambridge). He has been involved in numerous business transformation projects, including mergers, sales and/or acquisitions.
In addition to these mandates undertaken since the company was founded, our senior consultant Simon Chamberland held positions as Consulting Director and then Consulting Services Director at CGI from 2015 to 2017.
In those positions, he managed all SAP projects at BRP (Bombardier Recreational Products) under an outsourcing contract between CGI and BRP.
Simon is a MEI accredited auditor in the framework of the Industry 4.0 audit program.
Simon is a graduate of HEC Montréal (M.Sc. and MBA). While at university, he was awarded numerous grants for performance and merit. His master’s thesis on information systems architecture was ranked the second-best in his year.
Hobbies
In his free time, Simon enjoys the region he lives in by skiing, hiking and cycling (road & cycle-cross).
